Last season, Dhoni often batted in the lower-middle order to manage his workload due to a knee injury, which he played through for the entire season before undergoing surgery. However, his commitment to rehabilitation and fitness has positioned him well for the upcoming IPL campaign.

CSK’s preparations for the season have been underway since March 2nd, with players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Mukesh Choudhary, and Prashant Solanki leading the initial stages of the preparatory camp. However, CSK faced a setback with the news of New Zealand opener Devon Conway’s injury. He is expected to miss a significant portion of the tournament due to thumb surgery following an injury sustained during a T20I against Australia.
