Cricket Australia (CA) has announced a record-breaking surge in ticket sales from India for the upcoming Australia vs India Test series 2024-25, played for the prestigious Border Gavaskar Trophy. This much-anticipated series, marking the first five-match encounter between the two cricketing giants in 33 years, is set to commence on November 22. The fierce rivalry between India and Australia has delivered several thrilling matches, making this series one of the most awaited events in the cricketing calendar.

Unprecedented Ticket Sales

The anticipation for this cricketing spectacle has resulted in an unprecedented increase in ticket sales from India. The number of tickets bought by Indian fans for this series has surged six-fold compared to the previous season. To enhance the viewing experience for Indian fans, Cricket Australia has introduced Indian Fan Zones for the first time in a Test series in Australia. This initiative is expected to add to the excitement and camaraderie, making the matches even more enjoyable for the visiting supporters.

Series Schedule and Venues

The Border Gavaskar Trophy will kick off on November 22 with the first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The series will then move to Adelaide for the second Test, which will be a day-night affair starting from December 6 to 10 at the Adelaide Oval. Brisbane’s historic Gabba will host the third Test from December 14 to 18.

The highly anticipated Boxing Day Test will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26. The series will conclude with the fifth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, beginning on January 3.
