Kolkata Knight Rider and Lucknow Super Giants played an afternoon match on Sunday. Both teams came into the game looking for two important points, but KKR got the better of their opposition.

With captivating bowling, they put a cap on LSG’s batters, not allowing them to reach a total that would have been considered par for the ground. LSG could only post a total of 161 in their 20 overs.

The biggest reason behind this sombre performance was the high-class bowling by KKR. Not just the fans but also the celebrities enjoyed this display by Kolkata bowlers.

One such display took place in the 15th over of the game when Sunil Narine dismissed Ayush Bhadoni for a score of 29 off 27 balls. The player can score big towards the business end of the inning. Hence, his wicket was crucial, and the fans quickly recognised it.

Bhadoni tried smashing a big shot in the over and lofted it towards deep square leg where Angkrish Raghuvanshi was waiting to catch it.

Among the fans, two famous faces raved and enjoyed the wicket. It was Suhana Khan, the daughter of KKR’s owner, and her friend Ananya Panday, a famous Bollywood actress. Both of them were present on the ground and enjoying the game.

Kolkata eventually went on to win the game comfortably. Their opening batter, Philip Salt, was the standout batter at the top of the order. The Englishman scored 89* off 47 for his side to get them off a flier and later helped them win the game in just 15.4 overs.

With this massive win, KKR solidified their spot at the second position of the table. They will be looking to build on their momentum going into the season.
