Mumbai Indians have unveiled their revamped jersey for the upcoming 2024 Women’s Premier League (WPL), showcasing vibrant shades of pink.

The defending champions’ new jersey, crafted in collaboration with their new kit manufacturer Skechers, features a bolder incorporation of pink, extending not only to the sides but also to the sleeves. The lighter shade of blue from their previous edition has taken on a more dynamic look with the added infusion of pink.

Fashion designer Monica Jaising, the creative mind behind the revamped kit, shared her inspiration, stating, “The peacock is a symbol of strength and pride, and we wanted the jersey to reflect these qualities. The vibrant blues of the feathers, the coral peach inspired by the stem, and the gradient pattern resembling the peacock’s majestic spread – all come together to create a design that is as fierce and beautiful as the players who will wear them. It’s a celebration of the national spirit and the essence of Mumbai Indians.”

Mumbai Indians are scheduled to kick off their WPL 2024 campaign against the Delhi Capitals, setting the stage for a rematch of last year’s final. The tournament will adopt a caravan format, with the first 11 games taking place in Bengaluru, followed by the remaining half in Delhi.
